Oh how we love books! I find Court in all corners of the house with a book in his lap, and many times a day I hear a questioning little voice say "book?" (it happens to be his only other perfectly pronounced word besides "no").
Sometimes I say that I can't read a book because I'm busy so he'll settle into his favorite spot and read to himself. On top of my feet.
Daddy gets to read a few books or one book a few times when he gets home from work.
And Luca, bless her, helpfully reads to Court too.
It's fun to listen to her inflection as she reads, she imitates the way I read it exactly. In fact, many of our current books we've read so many times that if I change my inflection on a sentence, or accent a different word, I get corrected.
One of those times when I realized it had been too quiet for too long but I found a heartwarming scene rather than the usual heart-stopping one.
For posterity's sake:

PRECIOUS pictures! And if you're going to have one solid word, "book" I believe is the perfect one. ;o)
Is that Madi on the couch? I totally am jealous of her hair--it is all sorts of fabulous-ness!!
These photos really melted my heart.
Love this!
What I wouldn't give for a footie-jammied, fresh-from-the-tub little boy to climb in my lap right now so I could read "If You Give a Mouse A Cookie" for the bazillionith time! {SIGH} It disappeared too quickly.
I so much enjoy your journals and keeping up with your children makes me feel I am watching them grow. What a good mommy they have!
