I didn't realize until we bought our bungalow, what a wonderful thing a screened in porch is. It's so great to prop open the front door and let the kiddos out. (Not recently of course. Hello 90-100 degree summer.) Fresh air, sunshine, no dirt, no bugs, completely safe and a prime spot to watch the neighborhood kids running around. Here are a few pics of our favorite porch activities...
Joe bought me a loveseat so now I have a comfy spot to sit and read or just watch the littles. This spring when it was so nice, Court & I spent almost every "naptime" out here.

Playing Playdough with Noah, our neighbor. It was pajama day! (Isn't that table cute? I made Joe jump out and retrieve it from someones trash pile. He loves me. Our church recently remodeled and gave away some old furniture, those chairs are the same ones that I sat in for Sunday School way, way back in the eighties.)
Storm Viewing. Several times this year Joe, Luca, Court & I all cuddled onto our loveseat and watched storms roll through, it's fascinating to hear Luca's thoughts on the colors, clouds and sounds. Here, Luca and Madi were occupied for about half an hour just sitting and watching the rain. You will see that Luca has a flair for the dramatic (surprise!). (I have been babysitting Madi full-time since February 2010. She's a sweetie, a year younger than Luca and the two of them act like sisters! During the week I have 3 kids under the age of 3. Whoo-hoo!)
