He has four teeth and two more almost in. He can walk around the tables, chairs, walls and Mommy & Daddy. He has been caught doing a little "free-standing". He is excellent at accessorizing and can usually be persuaded to have his photograph taken.
He is a tender soul who only needs a stern voice to send him into wails of despair and he has learned that displeased tone so well that he starts shaking his head "No" as soon as he hears the tell-tale "Cooouurt" from Mommy or Daddy. He is still the happiest baby we've ever come across, always good for a snuggle and a smile.
We have noticed that his manual dexterity is far beyond what Luca's was at his age. She did a lot of random smacking but he takes his little index finger and deliberately presses each button on his toy car and keys. He can scan through pictures on our phones, drink a bottle one-handed, standing up and pick the tiniest bit of sand out of the carpet to taste.
He feels that it is his sworn duty to empty the tray on the coffee table, dump out the block basket and remove every last kleenex from the box. He enjoys a good game of peekaboo whether behind doors or blankets or Daddy's shoulder.
Speedy doesn't even begin to describe him, his crawl is perfection (he looks like a little wind up toy) and it makes him too efficient. We have to watch him closely or things like this happen.
And this:Food is tops on his list of favorite things and everything but turkey and beef meet with his approval. Already he feels that pureed food is beneath him and will take whatever we're having and feed himself, thank you very much. He is all boy and LOVES anything with wheels. In the absence of actual toy vehicles he will turn anything with a smooth surface into a "car" to push around the house.
He is our little Music Man and will clap his hands whenever the radio is on; he even sometimes crawls into the kitchen and "asks" (waving, scooting and grunting all while staring at the radio) for me to turn on some tunes.
What a fun age! And what a sweet, wonderful little boy we have been blessed with.

Oh all these pictures and videos had me smiling and/or laughing--what a cute little boy!!! And isn't it amazing how "boy" they are after having a girl first!!? I foresee him keeping on your toes . . . Not sure who he inherited that busy-ness from . . . *ahem* ;o)
