When I was a little girl my Gram did crafts with me. One of those crafts was creating these beautiful crepe paper egg figures over one Easter visit. The following are some of her most elaborate (mine were definitely more on the amateur side). I credit a lot of my creative leanings to Gram and her imagination.
I don't have pictures of us making those but I did find these:
This year I decided that Luca and I should attempt to make our own versions of Gram's eggs. I didn't acquire any crepe paper and instead used what we had on hand so our versions are not as beautiful but they were just as fun!
Luca made a bunny and Madison liked the feathers so we did a duck.
Luca's bunny with an ice cream cone dress.
And so, a new addition joins the crew.

Brooke,
Thank you & WOW. What creativity & fun to keep the memories alive & make new ones. How I appreciate & enjoy your sharing!..
Do you remember that year, I think, you & Zach & I were hiking back by the creek & picking up treasures on the way? We had the idea (Before Family Life put out their Resurrection Eggs) to put symbols of the Easter story in plastic eggs as our centerpiece & then you kids opened the eggs & told the story. We have perpetuated the tradition with our grandkids, but the fondest memory is of the origin & the first time!!!!!!!!!!!
Love & blessings,
Marjean
Such fun memories and I love how you are keeping the tradition going with your own bunch!! So neat to see pictures of "little Brooke" and your grandmother--those are precious.
Love the Husker lady, she's so classy! What a lovely collection. Chris also has some treasured egg people from his childhood. Very meaningful.
